Reviewing 2024 With Your Child: How to Do It and Why It's Important

Mother helps her daughter to complete a process to help develop resilience and boost self-esteem

Welcome to the first blog post of 2025! I hope you and your family had a lovely Christmas and have enjoyed some downtime together in the days since.

Before school starts again next week, this is an ideal time to do a review of the past year so in today's video I share a simple but powerful process you can do with your child to help them reflect on any situation - in this case it's their experiences in 2024 - and think about what went well, and what didn't go so well. (Please note, I am re-sharing last year's video so there are references to 2023/24 rather than 2024/25 - but the process is the same!)

This process helps them to notice any unresolved feelings that may need to be expressed as we begin 2025, and also to see how much they have learned and grown over the past twelve months.

It's also a fantastic tool for helping children boost their emotional resilience and self esteem.  To watch the video just click below.

I hope your child enjoys doing the review and finds it helpful.

Warmest wishes
