From Challenges to Triumphs: Championing the mental health of children with special educational needs - Part 2

Welcome to this week's blog post in which I continue exploring the mental health challenges faced by children with special educational needs, and provide more ideas for parents and caregivers to help their children with these challenges.
Last week, as well as offering some general advice for parents of children with any special educational need, I also explored Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) including Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) and Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in more depth.
In this week's video I am going to be addressing the following:
Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD)
Intellectual Disabilities
Emotional and Behavioural Disorders
Speech and Language Disorders
Sensory Processing Disorders
Physical Disabilities
I hope you find it helpful if you have a child with special educational needs. I know many such children struggle with mainstream school so much that they end up not feeling able to attend at all. They, and the increasing numbers of other children missing from school for much or all of the time - so called 'ghost' children - are going to be the subject of next week's blog/video so I'll look forward to seeing you then.
Warmest wishes
